Even though GroundControl is a new name on the market, our history goes back a long way. Having traded under the names of Chapman Freeborn Airline Representation and Air Dispatch BV before, our history in Amsterdam goes back to 2001. We started in 2001 with Maersk Air shortly followed by Air Transat. A few years later Malev Hungarian Airlines, Estonian Airlines and Air Astana joined as well.

In July 2013 Willem Boersma took over the company from Air Dispatch International (part of the Chapman Freeborn group of companies) to become completely independent and ensure a bright future ahead.

Our current portfolio consists of Aer Lingus, Air Astana, Air Europa, Air Transat, El Al, Icelandair, Kenya Airways and Latam Cargo.
